A safety-focused, efficient path — not a one-size-fits-all class.
Two tiers, tailored to where you actually are. Every class is taught by an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, and Tier 1 is designed to save you from the costly mistakes most first-time buyers make.
Aspiring Gun Owner
Don't own a firearm yet and don't know where to start? Unlike Tier 2, this is a private, high-touch session — just you (and anyone you bring) with an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor. Not an open-enrollment group class.
Fully inclusive: materials, range fees, ammo, use of every pistol tried, eye/ear protection, and your Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) test with our DOJ Certified FSC Instructor are all included. No hidden add-on costs.
Private session · 4–5 hours · Classroom + hands-on range time
Book Tier 1What's covered
- The four universal safety rules, covered in real depth
- Firearm types & actions: revolver vs. semi-automatic
- Training replica and temporary range practice firearms included — varying sizes & calibers
- Step-by-step guidance through the entire acquisition process
- How to avoid the costly mistakes most first-time buyers make
You (and anyone you bring) leave having fired multiple pistols hands-on, with a confident buying decision — avoiding missteps that often cost first-time buyers hundreds to thousands of dollars.
How this compares to a standard pistol class.

| Eye & ear protection | Bring your own | Provided |
| Who's teaching | Varies by provider | An NRA Certified Pistol Instructor |
| Fit to your needs | One-size-fits-all curriculum | Tailored to your ability & goals |
| Safety instruction | Minimal or rushed | In-depth, hands-on, at your own pace |
| Help choosing a firearm | Not offered — assumes you already bought one | Step-by-step guidance through the entire process |
| Costly beginner mistakes | Common, and expensive to undo | Actively avoided — potential savings of $1,000s |
| Range time & ammo | Often pay separately | Fully included in the price |
| Pace | Group, rushed, transactional | Private, unhurried, high-touch |
| What happens after | Nothing — you're on your own | Tier 2, plus a referral perk |
